Mao tends to internalize his feelings and keep them to himself. However this leads to him getting overwhelmed and prone to anger and lashing out.
He prefers to be doing quiet things by himself like reading or resting but rarely gets the chance to. He is associated with a quieter tone, sun and darkness themes,
contrasting with his extroverted twin sister Yokoka, who is associated with moon and light themes. He has an immunity to poisoning (the status condition),
and this extends to things like medicine, spicy food and alcohol, rendering them somewhat less effective. Storms make him stressed.
↪ Main relationships: Yokoka (twin sister), Kalliv (best friend), Valyn (disliked older sibling figure), Betelgeuse (absent parental figure)
See him on the status screen: [chapter 2], [chapter 3]
He has autism, is gay, right handed and has better hearing than average in this form. He is also developing myopia, though he isn't doing anything about it.
He has survivor's guilt and constantly, obsessively reflects on the past, which leads him to not always be in the present and be always tired and stressed.
His memory is not necessarily bad, but considering he doesn't feel his reality always lines up with what those around him say,
he's more easily prone to doubting and double checking than the average person.
His dream zone is a destroyed building on fire under a gorgeous night sky.
His soul colour is a bright red, his ribbon weapon is a whip but he can also make it a dagger, and his birthmark is a moon, usually hidden but located on the top of his left hand.
